About Us

At Grace and Soul Yoga it is our intention to keep closely to tradition and allowing for the natural flow of change and growth to be honoured within our studio. Our studio is all about embracing life and reaching limitless joy, through a healthy body and mind. We strive to build a community that serves the community and inspires other to do the same. We will offer courses, classes, workshops, special events, holistic therapies, retreats and so much more for adults, kids and families. We are not limited to yoga, if you have a skill you would like to share with the community that’s inspires joy, contact us.

Yoga in it’s traditional form offered 4 paths to acquire everlasting joy and peace with asana (posture) actually just being a very small part of it. As we are all different by nature this allows for you to have a path to follow that suits your needs. It is an experiential journey where you are given knowledge and then you take time to consider it, practice it and then apply it to your life if you feel it’s of benefit to you. It is a study and science of the self. Yoga honours all religions or non religious belief. We all have different words and explanations to try and describe what that is. Yoga aims to go beyond words, it’s in the silence where the magic happens.

Karma Yoga- The Path of Selfless Action
Karma yoga teaches us to perform our duties to the best of our abilities without seeking fruits for our actions. As humans we have many roles and duties. We are parents, teachers, workers, children and spouses and as humans we crave reward, fame and recognition all which cause mental agitation and suffering. However, through performing selfless actions, we learn the joy of unity that seeing another persons joy actually brings us joy.

To honour this tradition we have founded The Good Karma Tribe creating a community that supports and inspires each other to serve others and Mother Earth. We will host monthly events which will be free of charge or donations based if it’s a charity event. To join The Good Karma Tribe please(Link to our events) sign up to our newsletter for more information and events.

Raja Yoga: The Path of Control
This a practice to control the mind, body and senses with the purpose of evolving to an awareness of inner bliss. There are eight limbs to this path and it requires discipline. Asana (postures) is the third limb. In tradition it is advised to have an understanding of the Yamas (qualities for you to acquire) and Niyamas (routine) before attempting asana this is to limit harm.

Prayer, chanting, japa and mantra, are all tools used to guide us to peace and everlasting bliss.
